The Springs Resort
The Springs Resort and Spa is perched upon a mountain ridge overlooking the Arenal river valley and the majestic Arenal Volcano. Located at higher ground than all the other nearby hotels, surrounded by exquisite tropical gardens and cascading waterfalls the Springs Resort and Spa embraces the natural beauty of the tropics yet offers the most luxurious of experiences in the Arenal Volcano Area. The entrance of The Springs is located about 9 km from La Fortuna downtown and from that turn off it is an additional 6 km through tropical rainforest ascending to the hotel reception.
The construction and design of the Springs Hotel is very impressive with the entire main building set aside for guest services including, 4 restaurants, full service spa, fitness center, sitting areas and hot and cold springs. All of the wood used in the construction of the hotel and rooms is from tree farms and was dried and hand crafted on site at the hotel.
The rooms and villas are located below the main building and every room has a volcano view. The Springs Resort and Spa offers an array of on site facilities however the variety of Hot Springs is unique to the Springs Resort and Spa. With 3 separate hot spring areas Las Lagunas pools, Los Perdidos Springs (The Lost Springs), and the soon to be completed Hot and Cold Springs along the Arenal River. The Springs Resort has much to offer guests.

Villa Guayaba: 2 bedrooms with King beds, 2 bathrooms. Jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom, full kitchen, heated pool, sun deck, hammocks, outdoor dining area.

The Costa Rican is both friendly and hospitable, the obvious product of his freedom. Costa Rica is one of the oldest democracies in America, as well as being a free and independent republic. Its inhabitants not only enjoy complete political stability, but also their nation's long standing commitment to democratic freedom. Peace is the most precious possession of Costa Rica's people. The country abolished its army half way through this century, the Rural and Civil Guards being sufficient to protect the citizens. Costa Rica was twice nominated to receive the Nobel Peace Prize and this was awarded, in 1987, to the incumbent President of the Republic, Dr.Oscar Arias. This award was a truly merited recognition of the Costa Rican way of life.

Ecotermales Fortuna is a project that was built with the purpose of satisfying the needs of those looking to visit a natural spa with a family environment and personalized service that works in harmony with nature. Located in what use to be a cattle farm, it is a small oasis of natural forest, where you find the hot springs. It offers a private environment with controlled access to avoid corwds. The spa has 4 different pools with different temperatures the coolest one is 91 degrees Fahrenheit and the hottest one is 105 Fahrenheit, one of the pools has a cascading waterfall for a natural soothing back massage. The facilities at Ecotermales include separated changing rooms for men and women, individual lockers, toilets and showers. The restaurant offers family styled costarican meals for lunch and dinner. Next to the restaurant there is a shaded area with hammocks where guests can relax.
